Kashmir’s Pahalgam is called the Mini Switzerland of India. Where every year tourists come in search of peace and beauty. But the day of April 22, which we can never forget Bharatwashi. Where the terrorists attacked in Pahalgam and killed 24 tourists. Those terrorists opened fire after asking about religion. Those who were Muslims left and killed those who described them as Hindus. Now the question arises that what did the Government of India do after so much.
The date was 22 April and the day was Tuesday. It was exactly 2:45 o’clock in the afternoon. More than 45 people from different states of the country came to visit the Pahalgam Beshran Valley of Kashmir.
Then suddenly terrorists come in army uniform from the forest. Terrorists checked the identity card in the name of the tourist and even taught Kalma. And then among them who were Hindus shot them. In this attack, 24 tourists were killed by terrorists by asking their religion. Most of the slain tourists were men.
The action that the Government of India took after the Pahalgam attack.
1. Indus-Water treaty suspended by Modi Government until–
The Indus water treaty of 1960 will be in force with immediate effect until pakistan credibly and irrevocably stops terrorism.
2. Attari border shutdown Pakistani to return back-
The integrated check post Attari will be closed with immediate effect. Those who have crossed over may return through that route before 1st May.
3. Pakistan not welcome under SAARC visa exemption-
Pakistani nationals will not be allowed to travel in India under the SAK Visa exemption scheme Visas. Any SVAS Visas issued in the past to pakistani nationals are cancelled. Any pakistani national currently in India under SBES Visa has 48 hours to leave India.
4. Pak officials suspend, Declared ‘ Persona Non-Grata’-
The defence, military, naval and air advisors in the pakistani high commission in New Delhi are declared Persona Non-Grata. They have a week to leave India. India will be withdrawing its own defence, navy and air advisors from the India high commission in Islamabad. These posts in the respective high commission are hereby annulled.Five support staff of the service advisors will also be withdrawn from both high commissions.
5. Official strength in Pak cut down 30 from 55 –
The overall strength of high commission will be reduced to 30 from the present 55 by 1st May 2025. The CSS reviewed the overall security situation and directed all forces to remain vigilant. It was decided that the perpetrators of this attack will be brought to book and their sponsors will be held accountable. As with the recent extradition of Tahavur Rana, India will not spare those who have committed acts of terror or conspired to facilitate them.

Firstly of all, you will surprised to know that the vice president of America is currently on a visit to India and this attack place during this time. Is this just a timing match or an attempt to send a message to someone, the second theory even more shocking. Just like it happened on March 20, 2000. At that time, US president Bill Clinton had come on visit to India and on the same day terrorist had attacked Chhatrasal Singh Pura village in Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir. 35 Sikhs were brutally killed in that attack. History is witness that whenever India is getting some big global attention, there are some forces which try to break the peace. This is first time in Kashmir that terrorists have targeted Sikhs as well and this is what makes this attack evenr more dangerous. Now just imagine, When the US President visit India, the entire security machinery is activated for him. Intelligence system was on high alert. Still the terrorists attacked in Kashmir. Now this wasn’t just an attack. This was a huge message. A message that the terrorists gave directly to America and the world. We can attack whenever and wherever we want. And the meaning of this message was to show India’s security system as week at the international level.
Now talking about the second theory, it is linked to prime minister Narendra Modi visit to Saudi Arabia.
On 22 April, PM Modi reached Jeddah City of Saudi Arabia. This two-day visit was pre-scheduled in which he was to meet the Crown Prince. This was a big strategic move. And this was what Pakistan was not able to digest. So at such a time, by choosing 22 April, the terrorist showed that the Kashmir issue is not dead.
Retired Lieutenant General Sanjay Kulkarni has said it clearly. Look at the timing and method of this attack. Everything seems very well thought out and it is true too. It is clear that the motive was to embarrass India at the International level.

This time the Amarnath Yatra is going to last for 62 days and will conclude or 9 August 2025. Every year this Yatra remains on high alert from security point of view and this time also the intelligence agencies of Jammu and Kashmir were alert. But the attack happened and that too is where the journey begins. From the base camp of Pahalgam.
Terrorists want that tourists should not come to Kashmir. Because of this, their grip on Kashmir was getting weaker. People from different parts of the country canceled to Kashmir to attack in Pahalgam. And people canceled their flight tickets at night. Kashmir’s hotels were immediately empty. Due to these, the terrorists attacked Pahalgam.
3. Why did the terrorists target tourists?
If touristum increases in Kashmir, who will have trouble? kashmir’s business will flourish, then who will have problems ? The same people who do not want kashmir to prosper. In fact the agenda of pakistan terrorists is no longer just bloodshed but to destroy an entire economic chain. Tourism will stop, business will come to standstill, people will become unemployed and then the same unemployment will push them towards terrorism. This is cyclical plan of pakistan that starts with fear.
